VA Software Named "Cool Vendor" by Leading Analyst Firm

Vendors Selection based on how Innovative, Impactful and Intriguing they are

Fremont, Calif. April 19, 2005 VA Software (Nasdaq: LNUX), a leading provider of software, information and community support for IT and development professionals, today announced that it has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" in the "Cool Vendors in Application Development, 2005" report, published March 30, 2005 by Matt Light, Theresa Lanowitz and Joseph Feiman of Gartner, Inc.
