OSTG Enters Sponsored Search Distribution Agreement With Overture Services, Featuring Yahoo! Search Technology

OSTG to add Yahoo! Search, Overture Sponsored Listings and Overture Contextual Advertising to IT and Developer Sites Including Slashdot.org and SourceForge.net

August 17, 2004 Fremont, CA OSTG (Open Source Technology Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of VA Software Corp., NASDAQ: LNUX), the leading online network of news and information sites for IT managers and development professionals, today announced that it will enhance and expand its site and Web search capabilities with Yahoo! Search Technology. In addition, OSTG will add contextually-relevant paid advertising to its sites using Overture Services. Content Match" product and will incorporate Overture's Precision Match sponsored search listings into its site search functions. Overture Services is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yahoo!, Inc.
