VA Software Delivers SourceForge Integrated with IBM Technologies

SourceForge 3.2 Supports IBM's DB2, WebSphere Studio and Tivoli Software

NEW YORK January 21, 2003 VA Software Corporation (Nasdaq: LNUX) today announced the integration of SourceForge Enterprise Edition with a broad range of software products from IBM (NYSE: IBM). SourceForge, the leading Development Intelligence application, now integrates with IBM DB2 Universal database, WebSphere Studio Application Developer and Tivoli management software. In addition, SourceForge is optimized to run on IBM eServer xSeries Linux servers.

  • Support for DB2. SourceForge deployment is now faster and easier for IBM customers standardized on DB2, a leading database running on Linux.
  • Tivoli Enterprise Console. IBM customers using Tivoli management software to monitor their server environment, database, and network and application services can now easily monitor the ongoing performance of SourceForge software and perform remote administration across the system.
  • eServer xSeries Linux Servers. SourceForge 3.2 has been validated and optimized for IBM eServer xSeries Linux servers.
