VA Linux Systems Promotes Greg Orzech to Senior Vice President Of Worldwide Sales
FREMONT, Calif. February 28, 2001 VA Linux Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: LNUX) today announced that Greg Orzech has been promoted to senior vice president of worldwide sales. Mr. Orzech previously served as VA Linux Systems' vice president of North American sales. Greg Orzech will report directly to VA Linux president and chief operating officer Ali Jenab.
With more than 20 years of experience in sales and management, Greg Orzech first joined VA Linux in November 1999. Before joining VA Linux, Mr. Orzech served as vice president of worldwide territory sales at Synopsys. Prior to that, he served in various sales and management positions at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., National Semiconductor Corp., and Westinghouse Electric Company.

Mr. Orzech replaces Robert Russo, who has resigned from his position as senior vice president and general manager of worldwide field operations to pursue other opportunities.
