Sheila Baker is Senior Vice President, Marketing for VA Software. Baker joined VA in June 2004 and has more than 20 years experience bringing technology products to market. At VA, Baker drives marketing for SourceForge Enterprise Edition and is responsible for all VA Software marketing activities worldwide.

Baker has a broad senior management background in corporate, field and product marketing, business development, operations and sales, as well as engineering. Baker has worked at companies including MontaVista Software, The Santa Cruz Operation, Apollo Computer, and Raytheon.

Baker was most recently with MontaVista Software, where she served as vice president of marketing. In this role, Baker was instrumental in changing company positioning, refocusing two brands into a stronger company brand, and creating channel and partner programs that enabled MontaVista to achieve a leadership position in the embedded Linux market. Prior to MontaVista, Ms. Baker was Chief Operating Office of Magically, a start-up ASP providing private-label virtual desktop solutions. Prior to Magically, Baker held several senior management positions at The Santa Cruz Operation, including Vice President of US Channel Sales and Vice President Segment Marketing.

Baker graduated with an MS in Management, Computer Information Systems from Northeastern University, and a BS in Computer Science and Economics from the State University of New York at Albany.
